First, the instructions for use:
1. This instrument must be approved by the administrator before each use.
2. Always register the usage of the instrument in the logbook every time it is used.
3. Ensure that the density of the samples being centrifuged is consistent. The sample volume should be at least 3mm below the top of the test tube to prevent spillage.
4. Place centrifuge tubes with identical levels, densities, and dry walls into the bucket symmetrically. Secure the bucket caps properly, hang them on the designated racks, and also hang any empty buckets to maintain balance.
5. Turn on the power switch of the instrument.
6. Press the pedal with your foot while holding the door open position with your hand. The door will then open automatically.
7. Carefully place the hanging bucket rotor straight down onto the drive bushing to ensure stability during operation.
8. Tighten the rotor cover securely.
9. Press and hold the specified position to close the door cover firmly.
10. Set the centrifugation parameters: select the correct rotor model, speed, temperature, time, and acceleration frequency.
11. Confirm the settings and press ENTER followed by START to begin the process.
Once the centrifuge reaches the set speed, it will run for approximately 5 minutes. At this point, the user may safely leave, but should monitor the instrument during the process to ensure everything is functioning correctly.
12. After the centrifugation is complete (or when pressing STOP), wait until the rotor has completely stopped before opening the door.
13. Loosen the rotor cover and carefully remove the rotor from the bucket, placing it on a designated support frame.
14. Take out the bucket, loosen the cap, and retrieve the sample carefully.
15. Return the bucket and its cap to their designated storage area. If there is any leakage, remove the sealing ring, clean it thoroughly, and place it back on the tray.
16. Turn off the power switch of the instrument.
17. Wipe away any condensation inside the cavity to prevent moisture buildup.
18. Close the door cover only when the internal temperature of the cavity matches the room temperature.
Precautions:
When performing refrigerated centrifugation, pre-cooling is required. The centrifuge should be operated at 2000 rpm for 3–5 minutes at the desired temperature before starting the main process.
Important Notes:
1. Read the entire manual carefully before using the instrument to avoid improper operation.
2. Place the instrument on a stable, flat surface to ensure safe and smooth operation.
3. Do not stack anything on top of the plexiglass cover, as this could cause damage or uneven pressure, affecting the performance of the device.
4. Never attempt to open the plexiglass door while the instrument is running at high speed.
5. Connect the power cord: one end to the socket on the back of the instrument, and the other to an external power source. When not in use, always unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
6. Follow the guidelines outlined in point 5 of the operating procedures. Failure to do so may result in motor damage and render the instrument unusable.
7. Before each use, inspect the centrifuge tubes for cracks, wear, or aging. Replace any damaged tubes immediately.
8. After each use, clean the rotor and the interior of the instrument to prevent corrosion from residual samples or solutions.
9. If the specific gravity of the sample exceeds 1.2 g/cm³, adjust the maximum speed accordingly using the formula: n = nMax × 1.2 ÷ sample specific gravity, where nMax is the maximum allowable speed.
10. Replace the motor carbon brushes if their length falls below 6mm to ensure continued safe operation.
