What should you pay attention to when using biochemical incubators?

The biochemical incubator is equipped with a dual-temperature control system that allows for both heating and cooling functions. This makes it an essential piece of equipment in various fields such as biological research, genetic engineering, medical science, public health, epidemic prevention, environmental monitoring, agriculture, forestry, and animal husbandry. It is widely used in low-temperature constant temperature testing, culture experiments, and environmental simulation tests. To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of the incubator, regular maintenance is necessary. The inner walls and outer surfaces of the unit should be cleaned frequently to maintain clarity and hygiene. Avoid using acidic or alkaline solutions for cleaning, as they may damage the surface. Additionally, never place flammable or volatile chemicals inside the chamber. In case of any unusual smells, smoke, or malfunctions during operation, immediately turn off the power and contact the authorized service department. Do not attempt to repair the device yourself, as this could lead to further damage or safety hazards. When the incubator is not in use for an extended period, it’s important to perform a moisture removal process. First, drain the water from the tank into the water tray. Set the temperature to 42°C and run the unit for 5 hours. Open the door every two hours to release moisture. After the process is complete, unplug the power supply and store the device properly. If the incubator will remain unused for a long time, it is advisable to unplug the power cord to prevent unnecessary wear and potential electrical issues. To keep the internal components in good condition, it is recommended to operate the device for 2–3 days periodically, depending on usage conditions. Proper care and regular maintenance not only extend the lifespan of the incubator but also ensure accurate and reliable results in your experiments. Always follow the manufacturer's guidelines and consult professionals for any technical concerns.
