Tianwen Sun is deeply passionate about creating spaces that inspire through their artistic conception and atmosphere. He finds immense joy in constantly challenging the limits of design. In one of his recent office projects, he aimed to redefine minimalism while fulfilling the client's needs. Balancing these dual objectives required continuous learning and adaptation. Sun keeps updating his knowledge to stay ahead in the ever-evolving world of design.
PROJECTS
When asked about his relationship with his audience, Sun Tianwen expressed his desire to provide experiences that are both touching and sensory. He emphasized the importance of simplicity in design, suggesting that excessive use of design elements or filling up the space should be avoided. According to him, the key to any successful project lies in carefully applying the basics, reconstructing elements, and maintaining harmony. Despite this, he admitted that he doesn't follow a specific method of promoting his work. Instead, he trusts that when people step into his designs, they will intuitively understand what he aims to convey. Currently, he is working on two new projects—a corporate office and a sales office for a real estate company.

Regarding craftsmanship, Sun acknowledges its significance in the design process. However, he notes that modern technology offers additional possibilities. "A skilled designer or a talented craftsman are equally crucial in the process. Yet, advancements like 3D scanning and laser technology place greater responsibility on designers," he stated. Furthermore, he shared his thoughts on the future of design: "New tools and materials enable us to explore fresh dimensions of expression. For instance, LED lighting provides unprecedented freedom in designing illumination. Ultimately, though, it all comes down to a pure idea or concept that reflects the essence of the design."
