[Abstract] This paper discusses the embodiment of formal beauty in packaging, the formal beauty requirements of modern packaging design, and recognizes and grasps the characteristics and rules of formal beauty, finds a way to absorb and fuse it, and designs excellent packaging with Chinese characteristics.

In the modern commodity market, in order to make certain commodities jump into the eyes of consumers first, attract them to the front of the goods, and then cause their desire to buy, they must be carefully explored. The law of the beauty of packaging must be based on the shape, color, text, pattern, and packaging materials of the packaging.
A foreign-investigative market research agency has made such a statistic: Supermarket customers spend an average of 17 minutes in a store displaying 63,000 kinds of goods every week. The average number of goods purchased per person is only 13.7. If you highlight the design of packaging properties and control the psychology of consumers, you can make your own products better than others by competing on the shelves, gaining a competitive edge and winning consumers' love. Therefore, strengthening the formal beauty of packaging design is the key to successful sales.
