● 11. Saddle stitching

After the book pages are well-matched, including the cover, the wire stapler uses a wire stapler to insert the iron wire through the outer edge of the book's spine, and wears a curved book. This type of binding method is called saddle stitching. See Figure 8-11.

Books that use saddle-stitched binding should not be too thick, and multiple logo pages must be combined into a single banner to bind. This is a feature of saddle-stitch book binding that is now widely used for bookbinding.

●12.Sewing

Sewing is the use of the sewing machine string line principle, the book page along the set of edges with a seam stitching, and then cover the cover, cut through the three sides of the light to become a book (Figure 8-12).


Sewing is a form of book block processing. It is machined by a special sewing machine and can be used to staple various thick books and magazines. There are many books and books that are bound thinly.

●13. Lock line booking

From the back of the book's back creases, the principle of string-line linking is used to interlock the pages of each of the critical pages into booklets, which are then firmly bonded to form a book block (Figure 8-13). Including the cover, cut into books, such a binding method, known as the lock line binding method, referred to as lock line paperback.


If the book block after the sewing line is cut on three sides of the specification first, and then processed by the back ridge, the cost is finally decorated with a hard cover, which is called hardcover.

Bookbinding pages can be flattened for easy reading.

● 14. Wireless glue binding

The book is equipped with page numbers, and then sawed into the groove on the back of the book or milled into a single sheet. After collision, the adjacent book blocks are glued together with glue (Figure 8-14). . This binding method is called a wireless glue binding method.


The bookbinding of bookbinding in the wireless glue method can also be used for plain or hardcover.
