CTP system operation standardization management

The company's leaders fully realize that the introduction of advanced CTP systems is only an external factor for enterprises to improve themselves. How to implement standardized management of CTP systems? How to standardize the front-end files? How to combine FM network with printing process? It is the internal reason for enterprises to improve themselves, and the external factors can play the advanced nature of the CTP system through the internal factors. Therefore, the company's leaders introduced the CTP system from the beginning to design CTP and its digital workflow to integrate the production system, and establish a technical system and quality management system with its own characteristics.
The company's standardized management of CTP system operations is very detailed and strictly implemented, thus ensuring high efficiency and high quality actions of the CTP system. The following is a brief introduction.
A simple process of DTP for Prinergy EVO, as shown in the figure:

Standardization and standardization management of ACTP operation The standardization, standardization and data management of CTP Quansheng 800â…¢ thermal direct computer plate-making machine operation is an important guarantee to ensure accurate system flow, adjustment operation and high quality and high efficiency. Therefore, we must carefully implement standardization, standardization and data management.
1. The process design of the CTP system is shown in the figure:

2. Operation Process Specification of CTP Quansheng 800â…¢ Plate-making Machine Purpose: To standardize the operation process of CIP system and ensure the accurate and efficient operation of the system process.
Work program:
1. Reading of files â‘  Copying of CD files. The CD-ROM drive is the H-disk. After opening the CD-ROM, copy the required plate-making files to the designated subfolder of the CIP server. To prevent confusion, this subfolder should be a dedicated folder for the corresponding printed matter.
â‘¡File copying through the network card interface Connect the CIP server to the computer with printed files, open the "Internet leader", find the file to be copied, and copy the file to the CIP server (named EVO, workgroup is workgroup disk Specify the subfolder JobData.)
â‘¢Note: The CTP server only accepts the following file formats:
PDF;
PostScript Levell, 2and3;
EPS (Encapsulated PostScript);
DCS and DCS2 (both single and multi-five versions);
TIFF / IT-PI;

2. Explanation of the file â‘ Every time you start the server, the Pringergy EVO manager runs automatically, or you can start the EVO manager manually;
â‘¡Through the hot folder, directly add the required files to start Refine, or select the EVO processing template, and change the details of the Refine process as required (see Prinergy's work manual for specific operations) to perform Refine;
â‘¢After Refine is completed, use Acrobat to preview to confirm whether the file is correct;
â‘£After modifying the file, make a second Refine to the file.

â‘¡CTP output III. Specification of i3jCTP plate production Purpose: To regulate the CTP plate production procedures and quality standards to ensure the work quality and product quality. Work procedures:
â‘  The file to be exported must be copied to the designated folder, and it cannot be placed and deleted at will. After the file is input, it should be recorded;
â‘¡ The output of the printed documents should be set with special laser and plate parameters, which cannot be mixed with the experimental data to avoid errors; under normal circumstances, it is forbidden to modify the special laser and plate parameters;
â‘¢Before outputting the printing plate, you should first check the working status of the developing machine, whether there is enough developing solution and replenishing solution. Whether the temperature of the developing solution and the developing speed are correct, and the specific data should be adjusted according to the parameters in Table 2;
â‘£Before the plate material is exposed, you should first check whether the plate surface may cause defects that cannot be used;
⑤Operators should wear white gloves for operation to avoid staining the plate, and handle the plate lightly;
â‘¥ Quality requirements for the layout after development;
A. There should be no scratches on the layout;
B. No dirty spots on the layout;
C. Check if the layout is clean;
D. Whether the overprint lines and corner lines of the layout are complete, and if there are any deficiencies, promptly take remedial measures.
⑦The inspected printing plates should be placed neatly to avoid confusion and scratches; each set of plates should be marked with name and number;
⑧Operators should have written handover registration for each input file, output printing plate and quantity.

4. Operation specification of Quansheng 800â…¢ (1) Purpose: To standardize the operating procedures of Quansheng 800â…¢ plate-making machine, to linearize the equipment, to ensure that the machine is in the best working state, to make the machine index set accurately, and to ensure that it is on the CTP printing plate 1% ~ 99% of the outlets are restored.
(2) Linearization calibration: The CTP direct plate-making machine must first receive the front-end data, and these data must be accurately transferred to the printing plate. Therefore, CTP exposure, development time, temperature and potion replenishment all directly affect the quality of the dots output to the printing plate. Therefore, the linearization calibration of the CTP plate-making machine must be carefully done. Under the conditions of stable development, the appropriate focal length of the laser head, the zoom distance of the laser head, the luminous power of the laser and the rotation speed of the drum should be selected to match each other to achieve the most Excellent exposure effect, thus ensuring the accurate restoration of the dots on the CTP printing plate.
Attention should be paid to the linearization calibration:
1. Ensure the stability of the developing conditions and achieve the consistency of the developer concentration;
2. Use different CTP plate materials, because the light sensitivity is inconsistent, the laser power of the CTP machine needs to be adjusted;
3. When using different output resolutions, the laser power also needs to be adjusted.
(3) Working procedures:
1. Start-up procedure of plate-making machine:
â‘  Start the computer, Windows2003 Server;
â‘¡ Check the UPS power supply and the air pressure of the plate-making machine. The air pressure must be above 0.60Mpa to directly connect the power of the plate-making machine.
2. Exposure of plates:
â‘ Select the correct media and size in Device Media and media Size in the Configuration of Print Console, and make other required settings (see the Print Console operation manual for specific operations);
â‘¡After finishing the file refinement, select the Output process in Evo's processing template editor and set accordingly (see the Prinergy Workshop operation manual for specific operations);
A. Select the size of the plate in the name of the material in the format column;
B. Place the size of the middle and long high school in the column of layout;
C. Select the rotation angle according to the needs in the direction of the layout column;
D. According to the requirements of Calibration (calibration curve), Screen Systom (dot angle and type), Dot Shape (device dot shape), Device Resolution (output resolution) and Sreen Ruling (number of network lines) in the column of adding the calibration curve Make settings;
â‘¢ After setting, click OK, and then load the plate in the plate-making machine according to the on-screen prompts for exposure;
4. After the exposure is completed, it will automatically exit the plate-making machine;
(5) Standard data setting:
Through experimental testing, the data settings of various indicators of CTP platesetter are shown in Table 1:

5. KadakT860 developing machine operation specification (1) Purpose: To regulate the correct operation steps and various standard setting values ​​of the kadakT860 developing machine to ensure the developing machine is in the best and most stable working state.
(2) Working procedures:
1. Confirm that there is enough developer and replenisher in the developing machine before development, so that the temperature of the shadow solution is 26 ° C and the speed of the printing plate is 30s;
2. Send the exposed plate to the entrance of the developing machine from a roughly central position for development;
3. After confirming that the plate after development is dry, put it in the packing box. The two plates are still separated by liner paper to prevent scratches;
4. After the development of all the plates is completed and the inspection is correct, seal the packaging box and close the CTP plate-making machine, computer, and developing machine as required;
5. The developing conditions and developing machine specifications are shown in Table 2:

6. Matters needing attention:
â‘ After the development machine is turned off and then turned on, it should first rinse more than ten waste plates to make the development machine reach the best working state and ensure the development quality;
②The temperature control of the developing solution is very important, the temperature difference is ± 0.5 ℃, and there is a big change in the publication. The method of combining the display temperature of the panel with the measurement of the digital thermometer should be used to strictly control and achieve the same temperature at the four corners The error of ± 0.3 ℃ is better;
â‘¢If the developing machine is not used for a long time, you can put the developing solution back into the plastic bucket to seal it and store it, and then use it to draw into the developing tank to continue to use;
â‘£CTP plate quality inspection: measure with x-Rite518;
The blank part density (C channel) should be less than 0.29; the plate retention rate (solid density after development / solid density before development) should be greater than 90%.
⑤ The replacement cycle of the developer should be determined according to the condition of the plate after development and the actual situation of the developer. The general developer can develop continuously for about 2500m2;
⑥Printing plants that have strict requirements on the linearity of the plate should change the developer when the 50% of the compensation point of the plate line fluctuates more than ± 2% after development and cannot be restored to the original standard by adjusting the development time and temperature.

(3) Maintenance specifications of the developing machine 1. Daily maintenance:
â‘ Remove oil, dust and sanitation on the surface of the machine;
â‘¡ Check the conductivity and temperature of the developer;
â‘¢ Check the actual amount of supplemented liquid;
â‘£Check the cleanliness of the rubber roller.
2. Weekly maintenance:
â‘  Cleaning and maintenance of glue trough;
â‘¡Cleaning of spray pipes;
â‘¢ Weekly cleaning / replacement of the developer circulation filter core, the dirty core can be cleaned and dried, and left to be replaced next week.
3. Monthly maintenance:
â‘ Maintenance of the transmission part (mainly to adjust the accuracy of the chain reasonably);
â‘¡Clean the sensor of each part of the machine.
4. Replace the developer:
â‘ Replace the new filter element;
â‘¡Clean the developing tank;
â‘¢ Cleaning rubber roller;
â‘£Clean the glue tank.

(2) Features of Fangjia FM Screening:
1. Kodak Staccato software is an advanced secondary frequency modulation screening technology.
2. Shifangjia Screen can produce high-fidelity continuous tone image, which is close to the quality of the photo. It not only shows the delicate level of the image, but also can effectively transfer the ink layer due to its micro-dot structure, making the printing color more saturated. It can also eliminate half-tone rose spots and netted moire, object moire, gradual mutation and hue jump.
3. Kodak square spot thermal imaging technology uses 10000dpi laser, its resolution is sufficient to replicate any fine screen, and it is reliable and practical.
4. Shifangjia Screen has the characteristics of random screen, so even if the overprint is not accurate, it can still maintain the quality of the mesh tone image, and there will be no large-scale color deviation in the printed product.
5. Shifangjia Screen can disperse the ink more effectively and can print on more substrates, which saves ink significantly. According to Fangjia software's small dots, the drying speed is faster than the amplitude modulation screen, which can improve the performance of double-sided printing and reduce the drying time.

(3) Technical characteristics of Kodak square spot thermal imaging:
The energy distribution of the square dots is uniform, the exposure limit is clear, and the changes in laser energy, emulsion thickness and development conditions have little effect on the dots, the edges of the dots are sharp and stable, and it is convenient to adjust in real time. Get accurate and consistent print quality.
With the help of square light spot technology, the fine mesh structure of Fangjia Software has become extremely reliable and practical.
(4) 20um frequency modulation is equivalent to 5% of dots in the amplitude-screening 200lpi printed matter.
(5) FM-Kodak Staccato 20.1 micron screen.
1. Highlight area:
The size of the highlight dots are the same;
Random distribution can avoid moire, and can concentrate on rendering a certain detail.
2. Midtone area:
CMYK dots can simulate photo-level fidelity, and each color separation has a unique area binary format. See Fangjia 20.1 to eliminate the appearance of traditional AM screening and rose spots.
3. Dark tone area:
Dark tone dots have the same size and are randomly distributed to avoid moiré and focus on rendering a certain detail.
(6) Kodak square light spot technology The traditional laser spot is round, and it is larger than the target pixel. The energy of the exposure point decreases from the middle to the edge, and the edge is blurred, which makes it impossible to accurately reproduce the tone.
Shifangjia's FM dots adopt square light dot technology. Since square dots have uniform, concentrated and square energy distribution, the edges of the dots are sharp, which can ensure clarity, fullness, and clear boundaries between ink and ink.
The traditional laser spot is larger than the target pixel (frame). The energy of the exposure point gradually decreases from the middle to the edge, resulting in inaccurate positioning.
The laser energy of the square spot is uniform at both the center and the edge, which minimizes the influence of common factors in exposure, plate making, and development.
The smaller the dots, the more details can be expressed and avoid adding screen moire.
In traditional AM and hybrid AM screening, due to the angle and frequency of the screen, it may result in the appearance of motif moire, screen moire and unstable rose spot patterns.
Traditional FM screening will produce lines, checker-like structures and irregular patterns locally, resulting in partial ink accumulation.
According to the regular arrangement of dots of Fangjiajia Screen, the halftone structure is also more stable, reducing particles, dot expansion and mid-tone ink accumulation.
Available with different resolutions and different screen structures, the Fangjia FM screen is available for selection. The screen structure is stored on the hard disk to ensure that the document is screened in the same shape every time it is imaged.
