The United States produces polylactic acid biodegradable plastics

Recently, Cargill Dow Company of the United States produced a polylactic acid biodegradable plastic under the trade name "Nature Works" and formed an annual capacity of 140 kt, making the company the world's largest producer of biodegradable plastics. Bio-degradable plastics produced by Frathshell Co., Ltd. are raw materials for starch regenerated cellulose, biodegradable polymers, etc. McDonald Corporation of the United States has been used to make vehicle containers since this spring. Dupont produces polyester biodegradable plastic under the trade name "Biomax". Frathshell Inc. plans to use Biomax as a surface coating for its container and is currently under development. Environmental Product has developed PVA water-soluble degradable plastics with a production capacity of 10 kt/year and is currently developing packaging materials such as films, injection moldings and compost bags. Australian company Constatial develops starch/low molecular weight PVA. Biodegradable plastics are currently in trials.
