Alpine Introduction - Muztagag Mountain (7,546m)

About Mt. Muztag Mountain, 7564 meters above sea level, is located at 75.1 degrees east longitude and 38.5 degrees north latitude. It is one of the three peaks of the East Pamirs Plateau at the border between Xinjiang Akto County and Tashkulgan. There are four main mountain ridges: the southern ridge, the western ridge, the northwest ridge, and the northeastern ridge. The top of the mountain is round and the peaks of the mountain are covered with snow all the year round. More than a dozen glaciers are embedded in the valley under the peak body. It is like a gray-haired old man, so the locals call it the "father of the iceberg." The west slope of the mountain peak is gentle, while the north and east are very steep.

Frequent weather changes are a major feature of this area. Even in the summer season, the mountains may have snow and snow, and the temperature can drop to -20 degrees. Usually climbing activities are generally arranged from June to August.
